Envisioning Somerset, Final Reflection
Envisioning Somerset was a project that our advanced digital photography did, that not only taught me a lot about the history of Somerset but was also a great amount of fun. We had a presentation from historian Mary Beth Meehan who showed us about her own work of her documentary photography. In Providence and Brockton she had a big show of all the people she photographed which inspired Ms. Troutman to apply for the Mass Humanities grant, which she won and our class started the project. Our first project was to take pictures of people around Somerset. The second part was the field trip where we went to various places around Somerset to take pictures of the beautiful landscape. Finally the last was to make some double exposures or overlays combining the first and second spots. This project was very fun to do and has been my favorite of all the years taking digital photography.
